Ow do Stubby,
I went to Esporta today and rowed 1,000 metres on the row
machine! I trust you are suitably impressed
Hope things are OK, no matter how bad things may get they
could get worse. A recent news report stated a guy having
drunk 15 pints of lager got into an argument with a friend
over who was going to buy the next round, which ended up with
him accidentally shooting his testicles off with a double
barrelled shot gun !
Hope everyone is OK
Will write properly soon.

Hi Jonathan and crew of the Pink Lady.
Great to read of the challenge you have set yourselves in
Wednesday's Times.
I am an Occupational Health Physiotherapist and am intrigued
how you are looking after your hands and bottoms?
A little known fact you probably have experienced for yourselves,is
how important the position of your head is when puling back
on the oar.Initiate the pull from your head by first a relaxing
down of your spine and then a gentlte lifting up of the head
on the neck as you commence the pull on the oar. Keep your
head down as you start the pull and the spinal muscles are
not so well prepared to take the strain of the muscular effort.
Sorry guys, a bit like teaching your Grandmother to suck eggs.
Go for it, and the Lord of the sea and waves give you fair
winds and currents, and do for you abundantly above all that
you can ask or think.
Praying for your safe homecoming
God Bless \You All
Chris

Dear Jonathan and John,
Keep rowing;its only 2,200 miles to Falmouth. Think that
your really lucky to have the chance to do these great adventures.
Everyone can't do them because of the money and not been superhuman.I
read about your feat in The Times, yesterday. I found the paper
on the train from Liverpool to St.Helens. Been on a coastal
walk at formby. We got wet but we enjoyed the sea air.
Happy rowing and keep smiling. People are thinking about
you all the time.

Hi chaps! I keep waking in the night thinking of you. I can
only wonder at what you are experiencing. Not a lot of us
get to feel what life is like with all the dross swept away
and only oneself, ones will , ones team and maybe one's God
to look to.
Being an old fashioned navigator's daughter and having grown
up with tables and floors covered in charts I'm fascinated
by this angle of the trip; but as a mother I do feel that
sudo-creme might make your bums soggy.! Wouldn't sea water
on a pad just before your rest periods be better. The former
a resource you have plenty of! C xxxx

I can only begin to imagine the great immenseness(is that
a word) of the open North Atlantic. You are doing something
I could never do, even though I have grown up in Newfoundland
and have spent most of my 44 years on its shores. I love the
ocean. Its sounds, smells, look, the sea creatures great and
small, and so on. I love bobbing about on the ocean on beautiful
summer days, but mind you, in relative safety and close proximity
to the shoreline of Bonavista Bay. The task before you is
great, your courage immense. Godspeed.
I will monitor your progress with great interest and a little
jealousy. As much as a chicken that I am, I would relish the
arrival on the other side and be proud of my accomplishment.
All the best. As Red Skeleton used to say at the end of his
show; "Good Night and may God Bless."
