The skipper, the most experienced member of the team and the driving force behind this world record attempt, it is Mark Stubbs who is leading the Pink Lady® Atlantic First project from conception through to completion. Jonathan Gornall is a senior journalist on The Times. After covering the progress of Mark Stubbs' 2002 record attempt, Jonathan now finds himself performing the role of fully-fledged crew member on the Pink Lady® Atlantic First project. Bob Barnsley - Shore team manager

Bob Barnsley - Shore Team Manager

The maritime equivalent of 'Bob the Builder'. Bob has had a change in direction since retiring from being a Head Teacher at a special needs school in Poole. He now works with rowers, where all of his teacher's skills and patience are needed!

The project would not have run as smoothly and as effeciently as it has done without him. The whole team would like to thank him for everything he has done in terms of re-designing and optimising the boat's equipment, re-fitting the boat, advising on equipment configuration, use and maintenance, and overseeing the whole project.
